I.P.M. (Integrated Pest Management)

A well defined Integrated Pest Management (IPM) plan is a customized program that is based on prevention, monitoring, and management which offers the opportunity to eliminate or scale down the use of pesticides. IPM is characterized as follows:
  • Integrated – all appropriate types of management methods are contemplated and combined as pertinent to the facility interior and exterior environments to solve your pest problem.
  • Pest – survey determining the insects, rodents, and/or wildlife that are a nuisance and can cause injury to you and/or your property.
  • Management – systematic application of program to keep pests from reaching unendurable levels.
IPM focuses on minimizing the toxicity of, and susceptibility to, any products which are used to treat your home or business. If pesticides are needed the least toxic approach possible is used while at the same time being effective. We combine expert knowledge of common western Montana pests, their life cycles and their habits with cutting edge pest management technologies and our “P.E.S.T.S.” methodology to deliver a personalized solution that meets your specific needs. The vital element of having an effective IPM program is the blending of pest and environmental information along with available pest management techniques while including cultural, biological, and chemical methods with prevention of unacceptable levels of pest damage by the most prudent means available.
